Ready for Halloween?

Let's see....
We've got our decorations up...

...our sugar cookies made...

pumpkin seeds toasted...

and everyone is working on their jack-o-lanterns!

The finished products...

Cinderella's carriage awaits...also waiting for wheels...
Conor has created a monster!

Wyatt did a self-portrait :)

Chase did "Jaws"

..and Lauren went artsy

pumpkin innards make me sick...

...but I'd say we're ready for Halloween!!

Wyatt's Halloween play

I just love kindergarten!
It is such a fun age! The kids love school and are eager to learn, and they do the cutest things!
Wyatt's class acted out the book: "The Big Pumpkin"-which is one of our favorites :)

It is a really cute story

Wyatt was the vampire!

Here he is offering his help to pull the pumpkin off the vine :)

Not much luck...
Of course it takes everyone's cooperation to get it off! :)

After the play there was face painting...

Bingo..
and pumpkin decorating and cookie eating and Halloween fun!!

Q: What's scarier than Halloween?

A: Thirty-something teenagers at your house for a Halloween Party!!!

Actually it was easy...all you need is

food

more food
...and even more food !
Then everyone is happy!Lance and I built this screen out of sprinkler pipes and a tarp...

Then we projected the movie on it

We watched "The Village"
Lance had a freaky mask and had planned on jumping out from behind the screen at a scary part of the movie, but when he put the mask on, he couldn't see where he was going and jumped out at the wrong place...at the wrong time...everyone just looked over at him and rolled their eyes ...fail.
It was actually pretty cold that night, so we built a fire after the movie

All in all it was a fun night--the kids got scared from the movie, so we didn't need Lance after all! :)

Clint Small Middle School Homecoming!!

Cougars Homecoming Pep Rally!
2!-4!-6!-8!
Watching Madi's really GREAT!!!

As I have mentioned maybe just a few times before :) .... Madi is Lt. Captain of the dance team at Clint Small Middle School!
They helped put on the pep rally for the Homecoming game!
Ready?
OK!!!!

Give me an "L"!!!
..not really...it just looks like an "L" to me....
They were cheering on the Football team as they came running into the gym....but I didn't get any pictures of the football team....why? Cuz I don't care about them...

I just LOVE to watch Madi do her thing!

She has so much spunk and emotion when she dances...she does when she's NOT dancing.... but it really shines through when she's doing the thing she loves the most!

She's always front and center when they perform, which I LOVE cuz I can see her!!! :)

I am not a proud mom AT ALL!

They performed two Hip Hop dances
VERY fun!!
I don't think there is anything more rewarding for a mom, than to see her kids doing what they love!

...and having the time of their life!!!
Living life to the fullest!

LOVE. THIS. GIRL.

Way to go Madi!!!

Wyatt's 6th Birthday!!

On Oct. 20th Wyatt turned 6!!!
It's hard for me to believe that my baby is 6 and in kindergarten :(
As much as I try to baby him--he won't have it...he is very independent! He loves to try everything, and has the greatest attitude. He is always happy and smiling and has a fun sense of humor!! We are so blessed to have our little Wyatt!!--Our true Texan! :)

He was very excited to have a "Halloween Birthday" and asked that I make him a "skull cake"

Blowing out his candles!

He wanted to have a "Halloween Costume Birthday Party"
So all of his friends came all dressed up!

We started out with a creepy lunch of:

Mummy fingers

Monster Mouths

and creepy crawly cheese shapes

Then they played Ghost, Ghost, Bat!!

Made candy bracelets
(which Wyatt and Chloe are modeling...but you can't see them...)

Then they played a gripping game of "Pass the Pumpkin",

where you pass the pumpkin around the circle until the music stops, and if you're holding it when it stops, you get to pick a prize out of it!

The vampire teeth were a favorite

We ended it all with "Decorate your own Haunted House"!

I know you are thinking that I'm crazy for making that many houses out of graham crackers...but I've got two words for you....HOT GLUE!! :)
don't eat it though :)

Ta da!!
I think it's safe to say they got PLENTY of sugar!...Just in time for Halloween!!!
